She's here. So weird. A combination of laughter and anxiety. A week seems a bit too short for pleasure but long enough for this sisterly role. Maybe I am out of practice. I am not sure if I am a good role model for her to be around for a long period of time, I am afraid she will ask me questions with answers I am not willing to share. I have been reckless, and have forgotten the impact I can have on people even if they are across the ocean. I didn't know my name has been used so much in various occasions... I didn't know my name is referred to time after time in comparison to their actions or lack of action. Really I was almost clueless. I am glad she is here, i have fun, I laugh so much... we have the same humor and almost the exact same attitude towards a lot of things [equally (or more) critical and straight forward... she said my painting lacks focus and theme, aye]. Definitely share some secrets that are extremely funny to us, the YEN family. It is weird how we are still pretty close considering the last time I saw her was two years ago? I think it is one thing to think you miss someone and not feel the true impact than to see someone, and be reminded of all the joy and laughter you can have with that person, then see him/her leave again-- now that's what missing someone's all about-- to enjoy your time with the person one minute and the next, he/she is gone, and you are left in the same environment with something missing. I guess the only thing that's constant in life is "change"... I should get used to that and learn to embrace, enjoy, and let go without a sweat. Aye I will miss this.
