A-bien's still the president. Lucky bastard. Maybe it's not the time yet, there's a time for everything and I just hope when it's time, Taiwan will be ready and prepared.

tonight the ladies shared their frustration in regards to their S.O. (significant other)'s family. As I sat there and listened all I can think of is "wow this is so strange, weren't we just 15 giggling about boys yesterday and now we are talking about bf/fiance and their families?" Of course that's when I sat quietly nodding my head, partly due to the headache and partly to show that I'm listening and trying really hard to relate. I always fall behind when it comes to matters of the heart... I'm somehow always emotionally under-developed. Or Emotionally closed off (as well as physically)... but the advantage of being a late boomer is that I get to listen to everyone else and learn by observation. I cannot say I agree with all of their approach or mentality but it's really good to hear about it first hand. I think everyone will deal with a different set of issues but they are more likely to be similar than not, live and learn live and learn. It's just hard to say what I would do in that kind of a situation but then again, who knows if I'll ever get there. I'm glad to see that the girls are both really happy, despite the complaints. I can tell in their eyes that they are in love with their S.O. and that they are just trying to plan for their future. If my intuition still serves me right, S.Y will head down that road as soon as her financial concerns are resolved and A.D.L hopefully, will have everything planned out and set in stone by end of this year.

As for me, no complaints. Number one concern is my career, and I think I better start looking for jobs and start attending all the networking events with ASID. I'm a member for a reason so why not take advantage of it. I just hope I'll land a job that not only sponsors, but will utilize me to my full potential. I want to be challenged and I need something that will offer me room for growth-- I am confident in my ability as long as someone's willing to give me a chance. I'm still debating whether I want to apply for an interior department in an architectural firm (such as MRY) or to go for an interior design company? I think my interest lies with something more architectural except I am not trained for it... but is that the challenge that I'm looking for or am I being unrealistic?

Seriously... I can't fail. I don't have the time or the money I cannot afford a mistake or fail in any way. I miss being an independent woman (minus the depression and anger and all that was negative) and I want to know that I've made the right decision, and that I will succeed. I hate not knowing... but I have faith in myself, I'll get there one day, just hope it's someday SOON. I can't wait, I have no patience.
1) Taiwan's political instability worries me. Emotional voters and supporters' irrational behavior coupled with a sense of false loyalty will only lead Taiwan into complete self-destruction. "Chaos" -- cannot even begin to describe the current situation and I can only hope justice and truth will prevail in the next couple of days. May people find peace and hope in the outcome of this long awaited trial. I look foward to a truly democratic society that isn't split by emotional differences but united by one voice one logical and objective thought; to unite under strength and faith, for a better and brighter future for the Taiwanese People.

2) Weekly workout routine (swimming and/or Tango) is imperative to me keeping my semi healthy lifestyle and to keep myself semi active. This week's swimming plan fell through but tomorrow there will be no excuses. Who cares how many butt cheeks I have right... as long as I can swim my 10 laps that's all I SHOULD care about.

3) Dad taking the family (minus me as usual) on vacation ... I sort of brought it up and he just laughed. Yeah, well too bad. Not meant to be. I will just have to travel around the world alone!

4) Yesterday's field trip was very very nice and rewarding. Though us CHINESE girls (CHINA + Taiwan) were a bit pushy but why not. Like what he (forgot the name) said, YOU GOTTA BE HUNGRY FOR IT. Well... I"M HUNGRY. He was pretty cool for sharing what he shared with me, those ppl there all seemed pretty cool. I would be very happy if I could get a chance to intern there and perhaps get a job there in the future. I know I'm no Architect but I can be trained. I'm a fast learner... I think... I am definitely interested. Mental note, send resume on Monday.

5) Shopping--- too much. No more shopping for myself from now on until end of this year. In fact just no shopping... I regret buying that pair of shoes from Banana, I still can't walk too well in those despite the thickness of the heels. Maybe I'm not meant to be taller... maybe I'm meant to wear flats? Whatever... I'll stick to my flat shoes.

6) Great dinner with A.L today and great meeting with K from old company. It was so nice seeing him and how happy he seemed. He did an awesome job with his building and I am impressed. This proves to me that no matter what we do as long as we are passionate about it, we'll succeed. I guess I will attend his party on the 7th because I want to see the final product. I want to see out of the selection I provided which one did he pick. I think despite our differences back in the days and despite our huge AGE difference, we actually get along. Weird, to know I am friends with someone that old... I mean .... I always make friends with older kids (ever since I was little) but who knew.... Anyway and P.A messaged me and told me he's back from phills. He is now in N. Cal.... WOW. I can't believe it.... after 12 years he's back in Cali. And some of the things he shared and brought up caught me off guard. It's a bit tough to be engaged in that kind of a conversation when I knew on my side it wasn't really that... can't say memorable but it just didn't convey the same feeling to me as it did to him. Maybe I just have a hard time dealing with compliments especially when I didn't view it the way he did. I should give C a call, maybe it's time for a reunion.

7) Bumped into A.W and his "Joy" today. What a surprise... it was nice seeing him but wow he gained his stomach back, hehe they probably eat well together. Haha... he's one cool guy but I noticed the gf acting a bit weird. Gees... if I were a guy I would choose to be single than to be with a gf that's so clingy especially in front of others. And I can't believe the way he reacted to her, kind of harsh and mean but can't say it was wrong. Both of them were probably acting out subconsciously but it was an interesting observation. A.L and I were just laughing and chatting as if we didn't see anything.... but I have to say that was way too obvious. Only if she knew the amount of work and consultation I did in the background in order to make THEM possible... man... if I ever act like that someone please slap me.

8) Mom approves. Now I'm just waiting to hear from dad... originally I didn't want to inform them until there's a positive progression but... thanks to sis and her sneaky way of "not telling things"... I had to say something. It's unlike me to be sharing much until things are solid and concrete... ahh don't know I'm once again confused. getting too close to getting my period my emotion's starting to affect my mind and thought process. Why can't I just be logical at all times? Emotions are sometimes overrated (aside from happiness)
