"You may feel like someone is being too forceful in their dealings with you, and this could be your justification to withdraw. Paradoxically, you may consider your retreat as an act of kindness; if you don't protect yourself you could lash out and inadvertently hurt someone. It makes more sense to find a way to maintain your boundaries without necessarily turning into a hermit."

how ironic. this is for today? it should have been for yesterday... too late.

I have very little patience for people with excuses. really do not respect ppl who behave as if they are disabled when they are more than well equipped. almost no tolerance for ppl who hide behind their exaggerated emotions and use that as a justification for their poor performance and silly behavior. if by acting that way typically results in them getting sympathy, getting their way, then i'm sorry unfortunately i'm not one who gives in easily. quite contrary, actually.

Of course, no one is perfect, or in perfect condition all the time. I don't challenge people for the sake of challenging them, and only do so when in my opinion, has really gone overboard with their act of weakness. Or..., their act, period. If one truly feels helpless or hopeless then I would be more than glad to hear them out, cheer them up, give as much support as I can possibly give. But if one is simply being dramatic and trying to get attention, then I would not hesitate to remind him/her that "crying wolf" behavior will no longer be accepted by me. Try crying wolf somewhere else, perhaps someone who hasn't heard it before would find it in their time to give the attention he/she craves.

Am I just rude? yes I can be. But most of the time, it's because I lost my patience. Depending on how you look at it; would one consider that loosing patience if it has been close to a year time frame? Yet had I not lost patience and just ignore it once more, or said things nicely once more, then this probably wouldn't have happened. Is this just something I do? Maybe... and should this be acceptable? Probably not as well. I think right now, would be a good time I retreat. I need to regroup, my "patience" battery is quite low right now so it's probably best I plug myself away somewhere until I'm ready to deal with bs, or real issues, again. And this time around, I'll try to make that battery last more than one year.... now that would be an improvement on my part.
