traveling is what drives me. visa issue is what drives me nuts. luckly having a vacation to look forward to outweights the stress I get from trying to obtain a visa. Hopefully everything will be all worth it at the end. this morning I woke up very unpleasantly from cats meowing and "brushing" my hair, phone calls from Taiwan (work) and Singapore... I was pretty happy to hear from my cousin but it was too early to get bitched at about my lack of visa and not being pro-active enough in obtaining one. I am trying really, or I am starting to try today. Cousin's right, it is really unlike me to be so careless and be such a slacker when it comes to important stuff like this, what's gotten into me?
my excuse was ever since work I've been putting most of my energy and focus on work that I became less attentive to my personal life. Areas in my personal life that require maintanence or even some fixin have been left neglected. I catch myself too tired to call people or write to those in far places... I miss them and I wish to know hwo they are doing but I Just don't have the energy to. And the funny thing is, I feel b/c of work I am loosing MY TIME, I am having a hard time to draw a clear line b/t work and none work hrs. However vice versa, I realized today I brought my personal issues into work-- for the first hr I was totally not focused, I was stressed about my visa issue and I was just talking to my cousin and calling the ambassy, calling the travel agent, the visa agent... then I spent another hr worrying about not getting my stuff back in time, then I spent the rest of the time worrying about whether I can take the morning off Thursday? Or Friday? So stupid, this whole planning process took much time and effort... I was drained by 12 pm. Rushed off to bank and sat there across from this teller n really, I was testing his patience and he was testing mine. A nice guy though... but he was probably new to the job and I just hope he didn't mess up, and that I don't mess up on Friday when I go to the ambassy. IF I even get to go... but I will go regardless because that's more important to me. But really.. will I have the guts to just.. leave even if he doesn't approve it? :(
so onto another subject, I had a great conversation with Banana and it's funny how similar we are yet we are two very different people. It's nice to know that we can relate to each other effortlessly, I am pretty happy and thankful that I have people like her in my life... I read this article, about how to keep a positive attitude towards work.. it tells you to think of three things that you are thankful for everytime you feel down, and that studies show when a person can think of things that he/she is thankful for, then that would generate a happy feeling. Well I guess I am thankful for Banana, I am thankful for dinner dates with friends, and I am thankful for my cat keeping me company. :) Oh yup I do feel that much better....
