I! got off my ass today and did something! I took my uncle's advice and went to Laguna Niguel, dressed my best to avoid bad service (don't ask why I thought that), and put on my best smile then drove to INS... for those who don't know what INS stands for, it stands for Immigration Naturalization Service. So I got there, smiled, was very polite, and luckily there were no lines! I got right in, spoke with a very nice guy who told me my practical training has been approved since YESTERDAY and I should be getting my EAD card soon, maybe as soon as this weekend! So that means, I will be starting work soon and no one, NOBODY, can tell me to get off my ass to do anything for the rest of this month because this is the time I will relax, and DO NOTHING if you will, and just sit around on my ass until it gets too big. It won't get too big... I hope not. Today, I took someone else's advice too by accident... and checked out the beautiful Laguna and Daina Point... basically, I got lost. Drove around from one point to another and realized I was getting further and further away from Laguna (where I was not familiar with either) and ended up driving through Daina Point. Where was the freeway? Really I had no clue... but I Just kept driving, kept singing, and enjoyed the moment of being "Lost". IT wasn't so bad, though the moment seemed to drag on but it was fun... driving around not knowing where I was at, where I was going, without feeling panic, just follow the cars! Then miraculously, there was the freeway!!! WOW! I was so proud of myself even though I didn't know what freeway it was then, but I followed my 6 sense and safely got on to the 5 N... it was like a little adventure for me and I have to say, maybe I will go back and really check out Laguna and Daina Point again, but with a map this time. Nevertheless, I was really happy that I didn't panic, didn't stop for direction, and didn't complain! Think positive, and positive things will happen ~~
OHh.... and Grace started a dream diary too! Wow... here's what she had to say: "HEY!!!!! so funny i've just started to keep a dream diary too!!!!!! gosh we are so funny!!!! i decided to keep one, because i've been having strange dreams lately, and some of them are pretty advanturous and give me the opportunity to do things i can't do when i'm awake [...] so like i was saying, sometimes i question about the real world you know, like maybe when we are asleep, the things we call dreams are actually real! know what i mean? like that's what's real, and when we are awake, it's just all an illusion... and, maybe by focusing more on what i experience in my dreams, i wont be that "flower hearted" when i'm awake, the dreams give me a feeling that i've been there done that kindda thing." --GRACE YEN hehehehe... Yo I AGREE WITH U! But I am not sure about the dream therapy, I think your "flower hearted" syndrom will not go away no matter what, because I have been having crazy wild dreams and I am still "flower hearted"... n yup, dreams do give me a feeling of "Been there, done there, know what's gonna happen, can change it if I want", etc. Hehehe.. one day we will trade our dream diaries!
"you would be fun to go to coffee houses with!" -- thanks~! There is a fine line between confidence and cockiness, a thin line between demanding excellence and having unrealistic expectations... do I fall into the category of the better or the worse? Is it okay to expect a person to achieve his/her potential or should we only demand such thing from ourselves, and accept others for the way they are? When is it okay to be aggressive and be a go-getter and when is it best to just relax, and not take action? I try the "just relax" deal... it is harder than I thought... I constantly sit around and plan out the next step in my head... then the next. I try to plan out my next 10 years but I realized that it is a bit useless, since there are too many variables. I stress about the variables... I am getting better now... but still I can't control myself sometimes. When I find something that interests me, I focus on it, way too much, all the time. It seems to me I often use up all my energy or "interest" in the beginning and I end up with very little... I seem to rush things because again I am so impatient and the fun doesn't last because of it. So finally I must admit, patience is a virtue, that I DON"T HAVE. And dating... I finally realized why dating isn't right for me (shower does wonder to the mind as well as the body)... no security, no clear definition, not enough freedom but not enough commitment at the same time... why bother? The scary thing is that I, for the past few months, was actually an advocate for "no category, no definition, no title, just have fun"... and now I hear myself thinking the things I used to say 6 months ago... before all the changes took place... it is a little bit odd. It's like going away and realizing there is no place else like home... what a dumb ass. Doh~!
