I haven't lost my temper at work yet, for the past 6 months, I haven't yet told anyone anything in a tone that I wouldn't normally think is appropriate for work. Today, I did. I lost it. What can I say, I was rubbed the wrong way and I had a very valid reason to say what I said in that manner-- I didnt yell, I didn't cuss (of course not), but I did say it like it is without holding back. I didn't try to hide the fact that I was frustrated, angry, but I did mangage to keep my tone down but assertive at the same time. If I had just gotten more aggressive I don't think him and I could work together any longer. Actually I take that back, we haven't really "worked" together, more like he handed his shit to me and expected me to take care of all-- question, do I get a slice of that pie? Do I get some % from all the POs that I process for you? Do I get an award for solving your issues because internally people are according to you "too busy" to respond to e-mail and v-mail? So do I get a big THANK YOUs for trying to coordinate things and getting Taiwan to respond to my request within a day? F- That, I don't need you to tell me that I am doing a god damn good job, I fucking know, I need for you to do your job, as simple as that. Anyway.. of course we managed to apologize to each other by the end of the phone conversation and yes, did also joke around and apologize again FtF... but I guess there's lingering anger inside. He tried to come joke around with me again later and I guess he is the type who cares whether a relationship is preserved or ruined, or maybe he knows if our relationship is screwed because of this he will have to take this whole thing back and deal with the shit himself on a daily basis? Whichever, I guess it felt good to have gotten things out... but it also mean I am stuck with this responsibility even more so than before... with more responsibility. I just hope this dumb issue gets resolved soon... from now on I will not be as nice-- K is right, I am bound to offend people, and I will do it for the right reasons. :P
