November 26, 2004

you see, the day went by just fine; woke up bright and early to pick
up bellie, went to eat dim sum (last time i had any was when I was in
China, best ever), went to Bellie's and chilled, banana came over so
we had our nice little relaxing chat. I was forced to help out around
the kitchen and for those who knows me well we all know that it's just
a joke to see me standing anywhere near the stove. But I gladly
measured my 2 cups of water, 2 cups of sugar, and 6 cups of berries
and made my first ever berry sauce for the Turkey. I'm so proud of
myself, really... not to mention I also helped with the making of this
fabulous salad. Name of it, not sure, I just followed the direction
that was given to me :) I must say it felt nice to know that I'm not a
complete disaster in the kitchen, that I can still be some sort of
help to ppl. It has given me faith again, in myself and my culinary
skills (okay may be pushing it just a bit too far...) or not... but at
least now I know how to make berry sauce!!

as for the rest of the day, lets see... went home and had a rather
simple thanksgiving dinner (just glad to have food, really) with uncle
and aunt, folded laundry, watched some MTV music awards then off I
went, to the movie theater. That's where it went wrong! We saw the
Bridget Jones Diary II-- the Edge of Reason. It's a rather silly cute
romantic comedy and I must admit that I thoroughly enjoyed it, very
much, rather like it and pretty pleased with it. HOWEVER, as some of
you might know, I tend to get STUCK in movies and I can't get myself
OUT OF IT for at least a good 4, 5 hrs. It all depends on when I go to
sleep... if I don't sleep at all it will be stuck in me until I knock
out and wake up n smell the coffee. But for now, consider me
multi-tasking, still thinking about the movie, still feeling the
movie, still wishing hoping (day)dreaming of how great it would be if
I were to meet my very own Marc Darcy. Mrs. Darcy... I am no bridget
and I wouldn't want to be but if I get a guy like Marc Darcy then o
MAKE ME BRIDGET AT THIS VERY MOMENT! IT IS WORTH IT!! But think on the
bright side, I'm no bridget and I'm only 24 and I have few years left
before I need to panic and start another diary (or blog) called "my
(lack of) love life". Really, my love life is none-existent as of now,
and I feel as hopeless as a rock. I wish I can feel like a rock, b/c
at least it feels nothing... just admit it, I'm truly a hopeless
romantic disguised as a brilliant bitch who enjoys the so called
single life. I mean godverdomme! What's the good of a single life when
I'm just sitting at home on my arse instead of going out there being
single n ready to mingle? AM I NOT READY TO MINGLE? MAY I ADD WITH THE
RIGHT MEN TOO?? I'm sick of my selections, or to be specific I am sick
of lack of options! It is time I meet someone who can spark my
interest, stimulate my mind body and soul! Right now the brain's just
dying (can't do math anymore, one sad discovery btw) and my body and
soul--- pure as they can be (ironic, as if that's a bad thing...) the
point is I need to meet my Marc Darcy soon (whom would look more like
Hugh than Colin Firth I hope) and if I don't... I'll have to settle
with cuddle buddies, and even those are hard to find. It's like this,
if I can't find my perfect pair of jeans that would best fit my body
type, at least let me find some pants that can keep me warm and
covered for now. They don't have to fit perfectly but I gotta like
them enough to wear them often. Yup... I need to start shopping,
that's what I need to do.

Anyway, this is already sounding like a "My (Lack of) love life"
journal, I can't be this pathetic can I? I refuse to let this consume
my whole thought and life, this shall be the last time I write about
this love shit... just gotta do it, no point no point no point at all!
