ah! what a relief! I am DONE with my Thesis Project!! I cannot believe it! Granted, I gave up on fixing any RCP. and I gave up on any attempt to create a decent looking detail drawing, but nevertheless, I'm DONE! Now, I have my life back. Now I don't just live in my room and my room only; I can finally go out, talk to people, have meals, hang out, and stay up late to chat or to do some other less productive activity such as what I'm doing right now. You would think I'd pass out by now... but no! Still going strong! It's impressive (haha, yes it is) how hard I can push myself and for the length of time. I'm seriously impressed! I just wish others will be impressed with me as well, by my work, by my "hidden talent". I'd like to think I have lots and lots and lots of hidden talents but I won't push it... I am just going to keep my fingers crossed and hope that I'll get an amazing phone call on Friday congratulating me. Either way, I congratulate myself, heck! I AM FINALLY DONE! It has been a long long long 20 weeks!
And to celebrate, not only being done ON TIME (barely), but to having a life again! I met up with Martha, she shared that she had an official press conference not too long ago to announce the launch of their new product for Asia region... very happy for her, very very happy in fact. Had a meal on Intel's expense, again, something that would always put a smile on my face. Heard an old contact from "I" actually is now, in Iraq b/c he's still in the Army Reserves. ... okay that was a shock. High ranking officer apparently but I sincerely hope he can safely return home soon. He was such a great mentor to me, and we weren't even in the same company! And most important of all, dad actually called to share with me that sis showed him my work, and he said "it's really quite nice". Coming from him, such positive response, such... rare acknowledgement and confirmation... I mean... speechless. I am happy that I got the ultimate confirmation of all. Finally, after 2.5 years, he gets it. He finally realizes that his money didn't go to waste. wow... he gets it, and I get it, the world is a happier place!
Yesterday I received a phone call from a long lost friend. My first friend here in fact, back in 7th grade. The first thing that came out of her mouth was "I AM PREGNANT!". Wow... apparently they've been trying for a couple of months now and TADA! IT"S A SUCCESS! COOL, the baby will be a september baby!!! YAY, another virgo in the world... AWESOME. Then I talked to Sal whom informed me that OJ is going to get married! WHAT? WHEN? HOW? HUH? That's a shocker as well, but man I'm happy for him. I know he has been searching for that one and I am very happy for him.... but wow.... then Sal shares with me that they are talking about moving in and prob the next step THIS YEAR.... I mean.... look ppl just b/c I finished my project it doesn't mean I've fully recovered from the lack of sleep and real food.... my body really couldn't take that much all at once. Either way... they've shocked me back to life and I feel very alive now! All good news, love it, love the positive stuff ... it looks like there's a lot to look forward to this year. This will be a fantastic year.
Alright. As for me... I can finally get started on my personal projects and to complete that free lance project...... man life is that much more fun when you are busy. If being busy = fun, then I've been having WAY TOO MUCH FUN!
k... going koo koo.... and hungry...... this means I need to sleep.
