smile because now you know, my every thought, motive, dream, and much more... all nine-hundred-thirteen lies, truth, and the unknown.

Everyone in the world is so concerned with numbers, everything revolves around numbers. My career depends on #: gotta get up to speed in 1 month, got 2 weeks left. Gotta get this new account, to ensure job security for 2years. Gotta be careful with bills, savings, make sure I have enough (at least 370) for rent and other important matters. I am turning 22, got 3 years left before I find that 1 guy to date for 3 years and get married and have 2 kids. Must try to sleep by 12 and wake up by 7:30, gotta make sure things are on schedule according to workweek#'s... have to make sure I drink less than or equal to 5 drinks... we are creatures that cannot live well without paying attention to numbers. We become well aware of numbers early on in life, but it doesn't really mean anything to us unless we are talking about # of gifts, tv-show times, and toys. We only realize the importance of paying attention to numbers and what they stand for as we "increase in age" that these numbers simply represent making a profit or loss, getting more lines on our faces, yet loose the amount of years we have left to do what we want. Instead of focusing on the quality of life, we now focus on the quantity-- how much can we get done in this much time and how many XYZ we can get out of accomplishing these #many tasks. Life is like a big fat math equation, one cannot afford to mess up one step because there is only so much time left. And now, I gotta sleep to get that 1 extra hour... a chance to have that 1 extra dream. Question: how many times can a person fail before he/she is considered untrustworthy? 0
